LOCATION

The Port of St. John's is where North America begins and ends. It is situated on the east side of the Avalon Peninsula in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador at Latitude 47o34'03"N and Longitude 52o42'41"W, and boasts one of the finest natural harbours in the world. The Port is strategically positioned near the North Atlantic shipping lanes and is the centre of choice for both the traditional fishery and the rapidly growing offshore oil and gas industry. Its modern year-round facilities cater to ships of many nations. Modern berths, a plentiful supply of clean, fresh water, along with quality provisions and bunker fuel accessibility are major attractions. By-law enforcement and security services are provided by the Harbour Master's Office to ensure a safe port environment. If you operate in the marine environment, or depend on port facilities for your business, the Port of St. John's is ready to handle your needs faster and with greater cost-efficiency than ever before.
